The After School Club is for children who have
either been to an English kindergarten or have
been exposed to the English language either in another
country or at home and who are now at a German school.
Here they are in an English speaking environment
and so retain and develop their speaking, comprehension
and literacy skills.
At After School Club we aim to give children who have gone on to school the opportunity to capitalise on the advantages they have had by attending Pelita's English Kindergarten. We concentrate on all four areas of language learning i.e. reading, writing, listening and speaking in order to allow the children to maintain and build on the language skills that they have already acquired. As well as having a structured framework to develop reading and writing skills, a topic based approach incorporating art and craft, cookery, games and songs is used to increase vocabulary and add to the fun of language learning. The Language School Trip...Another annual highlight is the trip to England. English lessons for both children and accompanying adults, activities and excursions ensure a varied week for everybody.
